  Annual General Meeting 2016
The Annual General Meeting was held on 3 November 2016. Three retirees were invited to join the dinner with the Board and souvenirs were presented. We thank them for the contribution throughout these years and wish them a happy and prosperous life.

  • The SO Family had made a donation to the Board in refurbishing the 3/F OPD Block (area under the governance of the Board) included construction of a Minor Operating Theatre (for cataract surgery and minor surgical & gynaecological procedures) with an additional Clinic Consultation Room designed for “Well Women Clinic”.
  • The Hong Kong Jockey Club had donated a CT Scanner to Our Lady of Maryknoll Hospital Limited for serving both public and private patients in 2011. The scanner was operated under the collaborative service agreement between OLMH Board and Hospital Authority – OLMH. In order to allow more public patients be benefited from the CT examination for early diagnosis and treatment, the Board had passed the management of the CT Scanner to HA-OLMH, effective 1 July 2015.
  • With a generous donation, the Board equipped the Hospital with a Bone Densitometer in 2015. The equipment allows assessment in osteoporosis, especially for elderly population with risk factors (eg low BMI, family history and previous history of fractures, history of steroid intake, chronic smoker or drinker).
  • A Technical Feasibility Statement on the Hospital Re-development (with the re-construction of North and East Wing) was prepared in August 2015. The funding request on re-development project had also been submitted to HKSAR Government for consideration. A more spacious Private Ward / Ambulatory Service for the Board Service and an integrated multi-clinic floor for Community Specialty Clinic was also contained in the re-development plan.

  • Purchase of Eye Surgery Instruments
    Additional sets of eye instruments were purchased in order to provide extra cataract operation.
  • Electronic Health Record Sharing Program (eHRSS)
    The Community Specialty Clinic has enrolled the Electronic Health Record Sharing Program (eHRSS) in August 2016. CSC specialists and patients can now use the eHRSS.
  • Additional Endoscopy Session for CSC
    The new endoscopy suite has operated since March 2016. An extra morning session for OGD and colonoscopy was provided for CSC every Wednesday morning.
  • Staff Health Check-up
    As a part of OLMH 55th Anniversary promotion program, the Board sponsored all Community Specialty Clinic full time staff to attend a free health check.
  • Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic
    An ENT consultation room is now set on 3rd floor, OPD block and extra ENT clinic session is provided on every Wednesday morning.
